We were a grade-A dairy. From 1968 until October 23rd 2013 there were Holsteins in the milking parlor and yard. Well actually there were milk cows around since Albert & Elfriede were married on May 27th 1951. Elfriede brought Gracie the milk cow with her. Trego Center Dairy (even before it was a dairy) has always grown crops….wheat, corn, beans, kids, grand kids. Every Summer we get together to cut wheat, fish, play pinochle and sardines. And, of course, tell stories.

When Sonja and I drove away from this little piece of heaven (da’ farm) she said…”I feel like I’ve just been on retreat.” Those couple of days will live in my soul for a long time. Love you guys.
